Machine roof covers consists of large, self-supporting bellows equipped to glide on a rail system. Roof covers were first developed for large CNC gantry machines, but have been adapted to other applications requiring a moveable, low-friction cover. The bellows folds are constructed from translucent, high-strength material and attached to lightweight support beams with low-friction guide blocks and precision bearings.

The Purpose of Machine Roof Covers:

Do your production processes generate dust or small particles?

If your machine has excessive dust or noise from machining of carbon fiber, wood & other materials, Dynatect can produce a large-scale machine roof cover bellows, designed to glide smoothly on existing rails, helps to reduce noise and traps dust.

Roof Cover Design:

  • Material –  translucent bellows using polyurethane TPE with high-strength monofilament polyester
  • Support structure – lightweight aluminum with low-friction plastic guide blocks and precision bearing rollers to minimize energy consumption
  • Cover Construction – variable fold depth and folding direction (standard or inverted) provides necessary clearances
  • Mounting– optional Dynatect-supplied mounting rails

Motorized industrial machine door and machine rooftop cover manufactured by Dynatect. This custom assembly is for a robotic welding cell. The door covers an opening that is 25 feet wide, 15 feet tall, and 16 feet deep.
