A black, cylindrical Thermiseal bellow seal with two mounting holes on a square flange. Its pleated surface offers flexibility and expansion, making the durable material ideal for mechanical or industrial applications.
Two images showcase a medical device featuring a flexible bellows-style black tube and a monitor. The device, possibly used for Thermiseal procedures, rests on a wooden and metal stand. The screen is off, with a chair placed beside it.
Two black Thermiseal rubber gaskets with zippers are displayed. One, upright in a side view, has a triangular shape. The other lies flat, showing an oval opening. Both feature multiple screw holes around the edges. Perfect for bellows applications requiring durability and precision.
Two images depict a black accordion-style rubber bellows. The top image highlights the bellows retracted, while the bottom shows it extended by hands pulling from each end, showcasing Thermiseal™ durability in action.
Thermiseal bellows are made from polyurethane films or polyurethane-coated fabrics bonded together by thermic weld process. The standard shape is round/enclosed, but other shapes are possible with nominal tooling for new designs.
Key Features:
Typical Applications:
(Accessories and Mounting Options)
Wire Guides (internal or external): Maintain the shape of sealed covers under internal pressure or vacuum
Tie Strips: Limit cover stretch, enhancing durability
Grommets: Ideal for use with supports or guide rods
Zipper: Enables easy installation without disassembling machine parts
Breather Vents: Facilitate airflow in sealed or fast-moving covers, optimizing performance
Internal Guides (inserts): Specifically designed for ball screw applications
Mounting Collar Clamps: Securely mount round bellows
Mounting Plates: Provide reliable attachment for bellows in various applications
Hook & Loop Fastener: Convenient and efficient for mounting and inspection
Hanging Grommets: prevents contact with the part being covered which is typically a shaft or threaded rod.
Magnetic Mounts: Provide easy detachment with a tab in small areas, frequently removed, and/or from one end only
Thermiseal bellows can be customized to include internal guides. Below is more information on the additional options.
An internal guide is a structural component installed inside a bellows to prevent the bellows from resting on the covered part. It consists of an inner hub, which interfaces with the moving component being protected (such as a screw, shaft, or spline), and a guide plate, which supports and guides the inside diameter of the bellows.
Internal guides are inserted inside the bellows and ride along the covered component to maintain alignment during extension and compression. As the bellows expands and compresses, the internal guide helps control motion, prevent snaking or twisting, and ensure consistent tracking over long travel lengths.
Internal guides are necessary when the bellows is protecting a moving mechanical component such as a ball screw, acme screw, spline, or rotating shaft. Guide selection depends on orientation, travel length, speed, and the component being protected.
Types of Guides
Note: Each guide requires a minimum overall clearance of 0.75” – 1” depending on the type used.
