Metal cable/hose carriers and drag chains

Cable Carriers

Metal Cable Carriers

Gortrac® & Gortube®

Metal cable carriers are a durable alternative to plastic solutions for elevated temperatures and heavy-duty loads. Enclosed versions offer greater cable protection against chips and fluids. Dynatect’s Gortrac steel carriers provide superior strength-to-weight ratios and long, unsupported spans.

Applications for metal cable carriers include gantry mills, steel mills, metal production equipment, construction machinery, boom lifts, aerial work platforms, and more.

Types & Brands

Dynatect’s line of metal carriers consist of Gortrac open-style, Gortrac enclosed-style, and Gortube enclosed-style track. View our Quick Selection Guide for metal carriers.

Gortrac® Metal

Superior Strength-to-Weight Ratios, Load-Bearing, and Maximum Unsupported Spans

  • Gortrac steel carriers provide superior strength-to-weight ratios and maximum unsupported spans
  • Aluminum lids are an option on many Gortrac carriers, protecting cables from hot chips, coolant, and abrasives
  • Metal cable carriers range from 1 inch to over 24 inches in link height
Three different types of metallic cable carriers are shown. Each carrier has a series of interconnected links designed to guide and protect cables. They vary in color, indicating different material finishes or coatings.

Gortube® Metal

High-Speeds. Hot Chips. Fully Enclosed.

  • Designed to protect against hot chips, swarf, cutting oils and lubricants
  • Smooth, low-noise operation; suitable for faster speeds and accelerations
  • Suitable for high temperatures and corrosive environments
  • Construction options for multi-axis and rotational applications
  • Wide range of sizes – 24 different size/radius combinations
Two metal heating elements are displayed. The left one is bent into a C-shape, featuring a flat surface and fasteners. The right one is elongated with a similar design, including attached wires for connection. Both have a metallic finish.
