Traction motor boots and bellows are essential components in rail transit systems, protecting equipment, maintaining airflow, and supporting reliable operation in harsh environments. Commonly installed between traction motor blowers and drive motors, they are also used in cable ducting and HVAC air-routing applications. These flexible assemblies create a barrier against water, dirt, debris, UV exposure, and other contaminants, helping extend equipment life and maintain system performance.
Dynatect designs and manufactures custom traction motor boots and bellows for both OEM and replacement applications. Made from durable, abrasion-resistant materials, these assemblies accommodate complex multi-axis movement while maintaining their shape and airflow performance. Material options meet industry flame, smoke, and toxicity requirements, including NFPA 130 and EN 45545 standards.
