MRC Series 2″ Cable Carrier

Gortrac MRC is a small, strong and lightweight steel carrier with a 2” link height, customer-specified width, and curve heights from 7.50 – 17.00”. The MRC line was developed for the unique requirements of mobile heavy equipment.

  • Cavity size: Inside width is customer-specified; Inner height is 1.08” to 1.25” (27 to 32 mm) depending on crossbar style
  • Strong yet lightweight construction, with an unsupported travel span up to 16’ (4.88 m)
  • The MRC’s main structure is comprised of high-strength steel links securely fastened together using steel rivets with washers
  • Corrosion-resistance finish: all steel components are yellow zinc-dichromate plated
  • Applications: mobile construction equipment, machine tools, heavy-duty industrial

  • Find the weight you want to put in the cable carrier on the left side of the chart (additional load)
  • Then follow that row across until you get to the maximum unsupported length line.
  • Unsupported length (a.k.a. unsupported span) is the maximum distance possible between the moving end mounting bracket and the topmost link of the curve.
  • For a standard cable carrier mounted with the fixed end at center of travel, this length is 1/2 the system travel + 1 link pitch.
  • This length can be greater or shorter if the fixed end is offset mounted from the center of travel.
