Dynatect’s patented Liftgard design provides significant advantages over the traditional stitched lift covers that utilize rods inserted into fabric pockets. Aluminum extruded frames provide structure and strength to pleated material (PVC-coated nylon), and more rigidity than flimsy, difficult-to-install rods. The result: easier installation, better structure, superior appearance. The standard Liftgard design includes a zipper and vented corners to accommodate rapidly rising/descending lifts.
Standard material: 18 oz. yellow PVC/Nylon, 0.021″ nominal thickness, with black corners
Custom materials available for special applications; several color options available
Elevate Your Safety: The Importance of Lift Covers and ISO 14120:2015 Compliance
The updated ISO14120-2015 standard emphasizes the importance of safeguarding machinery, outlining stringent requirements for fixed and movable guards. With references to ISO 12100 for risk assessment and risk reduction, the latest standards emphasize enclosing guards wherever practical, accompanied by mandatory risk assessments.
ISO 14120:2015 “Safety of machinery – Guards – General requirements for the design and construction of fixed and movable guards” has been updated and replaces an older version with updated references to more stringent standards including ISO 12100 (Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction) as well as others that provide guidance on means of attachment and safe operating distances. The update now includes “Where practical, hazards shall be guarded by enclosing guards” and Risk Assessments of the machinery must be applied.
To comply, lift table manufactures and users are now protecting the scissors portion of the equipment. For over a decade, Dynatect has been providing lift table protection bellows, with the latest and most advanced version being Liftgard, which offers numerous advantages over traditional sewn bellows. Also, Dynatect offers adding your brand to the bellows using labeling which is RoHS/2002/95 EU compliant featuring strong adhesion and resistance to various oils/solvents.
Lift Cover Applications:
Ideal for ball screw scissor lifts for Automotive Skillet Conveyor Lines
Enclosing the bases of lift tables, tilt tables or scissors lift mechanisms
Aesthetic cover for concealing operational components
Ideal for large enclosed-type cover applications
If a more sealed cover is required such as in a washdown application, covers can be manufactured without vents or zipper. In this case, the customer should provide alternative cover venting.
Example: Dynatect lift covers have been installed on Autoquip’s welding station lift platform. The lift platform base is enclosed with protective skirting, one of several standard safety features going forward. The skirting is manufactured from FR-rated material and aluminum edges for rigid structural support. Autoquip, a manufacturer of custom lift platforms, designed this extra wide double long work platform to improve welding productivity. Notably, this Autoquip lifting platform can handle equipment weight up to 200,000 lbs.
Example: Dynatect lift covers installed on a tall scissors lift that operates around a paint booth. For this reason, a non-stick PTFE coated material was used for the cover. Download PDF
Example: Lift cover installation on lift platform within vertical mill in production shop environment. Cover extends 7 feet; dimensions are approximately 5 1/2 by 10 feet.

Preventive Maintenance: Daily Inspection & Cleaning
Liftgard covers should be inspected daily for tears and/or other damage to outside surfaces. If any such imperfections exist that may hinder proper performance of the cover, the cover should be removed and repaired/replaced. Debris should be removed at the end of each shift. Wiping or brushing off is recommended. Do not use an air hose to remove sharp debris, this may cause tearing or punctures in the fabric
