XL6 Model 6″ Cable Carrier

Gortrac XL6 is a large steel cable carrier with a 5.91” (150 mm) link height and an extra heavy-duty link design for managing heavy hoses and cables. Choose from five curve heights from 26” to 65” (660 to 1651 mm). Optional aluminum armor plates provide an enclosed link to shield out debris.

Product Details

  • Extremely robust link design for maximum strength and stability.
  • All steel components are plated zinc-dichromate for corrosion-resistance.
  • Customer-specified crossbar width.
  • Multiple crossbar options available, each with optional compartment separation/dividers:
    • Bolted aluminum round bar (RB) with optional PVC poly rollers (PR)
    • Bolted aluminum flat bar (AF) for better protection against cable/hose wear
    • Custom steel flat bars or machined crossbars
    • Window extenders for extra interior space
  • Applications: oilfield equipment, drilling machines, foundries, heavy-duty industrial applications.

Weight Load Chart

  • Find the weight you want to put in the cable carrier on the left side of the chart (additional load).
  • Then follow that row across until you get to the maximum unsupported length line.
  • Unsupported length (a.k.a. unsupported span) is the maximum distance possible between the moving end mounting bracket and the topmost link of the curve.
  • For a standard cable carrier mounted with the fixed end at center of travel, this length is 1/2 the system travel + 1 link pitch.
  • This length can be greater or shorter if the fixed end is offset mounted from the center of travel.
  • Using the load chart below, for example: an additional load of 30 lbs./ft can have a maximum unsupported span of 15 ft.
